对大自然爱好者来说，到了武吉美拉水上乐园而不到人猿岛，可说是入宝山空手而回了。

人猿岛位于武吉美拉湖的北部，游客可从湖畔码头乘搭汽艇过去，大约15分钟便可到达。岛上的人猿自1999年由婆罗洲运到这里来生活，2001年2月更成功地繁殖了一头人猿宝宝。目前，岛上共有11头人猿，踏上人猿岛，游客便走入一个大铁笼通道，仰首观看在树上札拉尼的人猿。
 
在充满大自然气息的人猿岛上进餐，实在是人间一大美事。岛上阵阵凉风吹拂，不但驱赶热气，也将生活的琐碎烦恼吹得不见踪影。

游客可以带面包来喂养湖中的鱼群，便引来大群鱼儿争相抢夺。

游客除了到生态公园及人猿岛上一游外，喜欢探险的也可参加充满挑战性的“森林漫步”之旅，饱览森林中的大自然景色。此外，钓鱼发烧友也有机会与武吉美拉湖中的淡水鱼打交道，只需付费，便可享受数小时的钓鱼乐.武吉美拉钓鱼场有钓竿出租，游客还可选择将渔获交由餐厅烹煮，享用最新鲜的鱼肉美食.

武吉美拉水上乐园除了是大自然爱好者的好去处外，入口处纪念品琳琅满目的购物街也是爱购物者享受购物乐趣的好去处。买些私藏或赠送亲友，一起分享在武吉美拉游乐园渡过的欢乐时光。

与购物街相连的还有娱乐消遣中心，中心内有电玩设备、碰碰车、象棋、乒乓球、滑轮、滑扳、脚踏车等供出租，还有各式各样的餐厅、咖啡店、酒廊等，为游客提供完善的服。

武吉美拉水上乐园座落太平北部，是一个占地1千650英亩，四周有7千英亩大湖围绕的水上乐园。从吉隆坡到武吉美拉水上乐园大约费时5小时；从槟城去则更近，仅需35分钟的路程，是大自然爱好者的最佳选择之一。

从吉隆坡出发，往南北大道北上，途经怡保，过了太平，即可从武吉美拉收费站直接进入游乐园。从收费站出来后，即可看见武吉美拉水上乐园内各种色彩鲜艳的建筑物，可是游客还得沿着斜度很高的公路，绕过山腰再走半圈，才能抵达入口。

水上乐园的入门费是成人18元，小孩13元.生态公园和人猿岛的入场费一样，都是成人9元，小孩6元，身高不超过90公分的小孩可免费参观。

双人座吊车与空中双人手摇滑轮车的收费是成人与小孩一律3元，身高90公分以下的小孩是不被允许乘坐双人座吊车，12岁以下的小孩必须由大人陪伴才能乘坐空中双人手摇滑轮车。

有意在武吉美拉游乐园留宿者，可到Laketown Inn下榻。
